At ACS, students can find a sense of belonging, develop passion for their craft, and cultivate purpose in using their talents for God’s glory. With our school focus on Creative Ministry Arts, we prepare students to offer their artistry to a world that longs for beauty, hope, and redemption.
Graphic Design (6th-12th)
We strive to find a way to convey the gospel message and our human experiences through the art of storytelling. In a world of ever changing technology, we boldly explore and experiment with a variety of new mediums. Media Arts students are innovative, creative, and independent thinkers who are encouraged to explore, design and create rich communications.
Middle School students take computer class as an enrichment and learn to navigate the web, Google platforms, and graphics through Web 2.0 tools. Students develop an eye for artistic expression, composition, editing skills.
High School students can take Media Arts as an elective and earn 1 carnige unit. Media Arts is an exciting, constantly-evolving field for this next generation! Students focus on finding creative, visual solutions to communicate stories through understanding the design process, spatial relationships, elements of composition and digital imagery. We also offfer Photography as an elective for 1 carnige unit where students develop aesthetic valuing in photography, yearbook, film-study, and website production.
Public Speaking (6th-12th)
ACS Middle School students develop public speaking skills through Speech class as an enrichment in order to communicate with different audiences. High School students pratice sharing their faith and public speaking skills in their daily Bible class.
