- Reaching Students, Building Lives through SPIRITUAL FORMATION
- Reaching Students, Building Lives through CREATIVE MINISTRY ARTS
- Reaching Students, Building Lives through ATHLETICS
Our Vision ~
Acadiana Christian School loves the local church! We pride ourselves in raising up a generation of God fearing, Bible centered, world changers who are equipped to grow the local church.
At ACS, all students will receive a solid Christian education, build healthy relationships, and cultivate their gifts and talents so they can contribute in their local church to make a difference in the communities where they live.
Our filter for choosing curriculum, programs, activities, clubs, and events is our desire to produce disciples that will make a positive impact not only in their local church but also in their home, community, future workplace and ultimately the world for Christ.
We evaluate everything that we do with the mindset of: “Will this help us…
-Provide a Solid Christian Education for Every Student;
-Build Healthy Relationships Among Students and/or Faculty;
-Identify and Cultivate Student Gifts and Talents
-Build the Local Church; or
-Make a Difference in Our Community?”
If it doesn’t, it’s not for us.
Our Philosophy ~
Acadiana Christian School has a desire to provide parents with the opportunity of educating their children totally- body, mind, and spirit, engraving the Word of God on their hearts (Deut. 6:6). Our philosophy centers on Jesus Christ as the focal point of all teaching and learning. Because we believe the Bible is the infallible, divine Word of God, we desire to give students the opportunity to know God and form a relationship with Christ so that they learn to think like Him and to execute life from biblical perspectives and principles.
The school’s role is to impress each student with the knowledge that God is the source of all subjects in the curriculum (Col.1:17,17; II Cor. 8:6). Accordingly, teachers implement biblical principles into their classroom instruction and discipline.
ACS sees education as a succession of instruction and internal discipline based upon the teachings and principles found in the Bible. we believe that Christian education is necessary in order to:
1) cultivate a student’s moral and academic comprehension of the nature and character of God and his intimate involvement in their life (Academics);
2) empower and set free the intellect so that the student will morally reason based upon the criteria of truth set forth in the Word of God (Spiritual Formation);
3) identify the student’s God given gifts and talents (Creative Ministry Arts & Athletics) so that they may pursue the course of life which Jesus Christ has chosen for them and ultimately be a valuable asset to the local church and society as a whole.
In so doing, ACS endeavors to train a generation that will provide leadership among their peers and into their community. We desire that the disciples that are produced in this school will impact the world for Christ.
NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY: Acadiana Christian School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all right, privileges, programs, and activities made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, or ethnic origin in administration of its education policies, athletic, and other school-administered programs.
